Why I'm raising funds to rescue cats and kittens in need...
I'm running my first half-marathon in 8 years and I wanted it to be meaningful and of service. It's also been 7 years since my beloved Yolanda (Yoyo) passed away. Yoyo and I had the good fortune of meeting through Toronto Cat Rescue, an organization I felt truly cared about the kitties who came to them and provided a ton of support to their fosters (of which I was one).
I was a foster fail, since I fell in love with Yolanda within hours. She was the best kitty(soul) I had ever met - gentle and kind with a dash of boundaries. She was and is my furr-ever love (and had to put up with so much of my travelling days).
As I train and run my half for Toronto Cat Rescue, I also run with Yolanda's spirit by my side - my glimmer, my light, my love...
Please consider contributing to my run and the TCR!
With love and gratitude, farrah (and Yoyo)
Description
I'm raising funds for Toronto Cat Rescue, a charity that helps rescue thousands of cats every year!
TCR saves and finds forever homes for more than 2,500 cats each year—they believe every cat deserves a second chance at finding a loving home, and I'm running the marathon to help them get there.
Can you help me raise funds to support their important mission?
Donate today and you’ll be helping us save feline lives in and around Toronto. Every dollar raised goes directly to helping cats and kittens in need, helping to rescue them from abandonment, neglect and imminent euthanasia.
Let’s continue saving cats together!
Thank you for supporting my campaign!
