Help me help Lifeline save lives

10th Go4Broke – Ride to Beat Depression🗓 20th September 2025 | 💛 Supporting Lifeline Australia

Hi, I’m Manoj, and on the 20th of September 2025, I’ll be riding in the 10th Go4Broke – Ride to Beat Depression, a 180km cycling challenge from Berowra to the Hunter Valley. This isn’t just a physical test—it’s a mission to raise awareness and critical funds for Lifeline Australia, a service that helps thousands of Australians battling mental health challenges every day.

Why I Ride

Every single day, nine Australians lose their lives to suicide. That’s nine too many.

Over the past few years, we’ve all felt the weight of uncertainty—through COVID-19, floods, bushfires, and personal battles that don’t always make the headlines. For many, the silent struggle continues behind closed doors.

But help is out there, and it starts with a conversation.

Lifeline's 13 11 14 crisis line answers a call every 30 seconds, providing support to people in their darkest moments. I’m proud to be part of the Go for Broke community—a team of riders who are pushing limits to shine a light on mental health and raise funds for Lifeline's frontline services.

How You Can Help

Every dollar you donate goes directly to Lifeline’s crisis support services.
Every dollar makes a difference. Every dollar can save a life.

If you’ve ever known someone who struggled—or if you believe in creating a more compassionate, supportive world—please consider donating.

Your support keeps me pedalling through the long winter training rides and into that final kilometre on ride day.
Together, we can beat the stigma and give hope to those who need it most.

Description

Every day, nine Australians lose their battle with mental health — help us help Lifeline.

In recent years, challenges like COVID, natural disasters, and financial pressures have deeply affected our communities. As a result, more people than ever are turning to Lifeline for support—through both their frontline mental health services and the national 13 11 14 crisis line.

This year, I’m taking part in the 10th Go4Broke – GFB25, a gruelling 183km cycling event with over 2,000 metres of vertical climbing, from Berowra to Broke in the Hunter Valley

Unlike many other cycling events, Go4Broke was created from lived experience. Its founder, having faced his own mental health journey, started this ride to raise awareness and vital funds for those who are still struggling.

As a proud participant in GFB25, I’ll be raising funds for Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury Sydney. Your support will not only help staff the 24/7 13 11 14 crisis line, but also fund critical, on-the-ground mental health services in our local community. The Lifeline centre in Gordon is one of the few in Australia that answers calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week—especially during the late-night and early morning hours, when people experiencing depression and anxiety are often most vulnerable.

At Go4Broke, every dollar we raise goes directly towards funding these essential services. Over the past nine years, we’ve raised more than $500,000—and we’re just getting started. Please consider supporting me as I train for this incredibly tough but deeply meaningful ride.

Every dollar makes a difference. Every dollar could save a life.

Thank you for helping me support Lifeline.
