Help me help Lifeline save lives

I'm riding 180km in the Go for Broke cycling event to support mental health and Lifeline and I’d love your support. This ride is personal. I’ve had both a close family member and a good friend go through really tough times with their mental health. Seeing the difference that mental health support programs like Lifeline made in those critical moments, it’s something I’ll never forget. This ride is my way of giving back and making sure others can get the same help when they need it most. Go for Broke is more than just a massive 180km ride from Berowra to Broke, it’s a challenge that brings people together to raise awareness and funds for mental health support. Every donation goes directly to Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury, helping them continue their life-saving work in our community. If you can, please chip in. Any amount, big or small, makes a difference. And if you or someone you care about ever needs support, don’t hesitate to reach out to Lifeline on 13 11 14. Luis

Description

Every day, nine Australians lose their battle with mental health — help us help Lifeline.

In recent years, challenges like COVID, natural disasters, and financial pressures have deeply affected our communities. As a result, more people than ever are turning to Lifeline for support—through both their frontline mental health services and the national 13 11 14 crisis line.

This year, I’m taking part in the 10th Go4Broke – GFB25, a gruelling 183km cycling event with over 2,000 metres of vertical climbing, from Berowra to Broke in the Hunter Valley

Unlike many other cycling events, Go4Broke was created from lived experience. Its founder, having faced his own mental health journey, started this ride to raise awareness and vital funds for those who are still struggling.

As a proud participant in GFB25, I’ll be raising funds for Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury Sydney. Your support will not only help staff the 24/7 13 11 14 crisis line, but also fund critical, on-the-ground mental health services in our local community. The Lifeline centre in Gordon is one of the few in Australia that answers calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week—especially during the late-night and early morning hours, when people experiencing depression and anxiety are often most vulnerable.

At Go4Broke, every dollar we raise goes directly towards funding these essential services. Over the past nine years, we’ve raised more than $500,000—and we’re just getting started. Please consider supporting me as I train for this incredibly tough but deeply meaningful ride.

Every dollar makes a difference. Every dollar could save a life.

Thank you for helping me support Lifeline.
