My Story
Theo has fought long and hard to beat A.L.L. Diagnosed at 11months old, all of our lives changed in one afternoon.
This kid will move mountains when he is older. He is strong, with a definite ability to persevere through the toughest of situations.
In July 2023, he was declining so much so that he was almost in organ failure, but the amazing team at McMaster Children's Hospital helped Theo beat all odds.
Theo is now a thriving 3 year old. Loving life and learning nothing can hold him back. He enjoys going to 'school' (daycare), playing with trucks and reading stories.
Theo has not experienced Campfire Circle as an overnight camp, but during our many, many stays in hospital, Campfire Circle staff would bring joy and laughter to Theo and many other kids while there.
We will be completing the Virtual Walk this May to help support this amazing group of individuals, who create lasting memories to kids and families who need to smile. Join us!

For over 40 years Campfire Circle has provided play-based experiences through our in-hospital, community, and overnight camps for kids with cancer or serious illness and their families. We empower kids to take back their childhood, regardless of their medical diagnosis.
Now, more than ever, kids with serious illness and their families need moments of joy, connection, and healing.
