This Mother’s Day, our family will once again run the Sporting Life 10K in support of Campfire Circle, an incredible organization that brought so much joy and laughter into Severino’s life. Their programs created moments of happiness, fun, and friendship…and our family will be forever grateful & dedicated to helping other kids feel that same sense of joy and encouragement.
For children battling cancer and other serious illnesses, their world is filled with challenges they should never have to endure. That’s why the experiences that Campfire Circle provides are so important—they give kids a break from the unthinkable and let them ‘just be kids’.

For over 40 years Campfire Circle has provided play-based experiences through our in-hospital, community, and overnight camps for kids with cancer or serious illness and their families. We empower kids to take back their childhood, regardless of their medical diagnosis.
Now, more than ever, kids with serious illness and their families need moments of joy, connection, and healing.
