My Story
I am running the Sporting Life 10K in memory of Shiven Shah. Shiven is my dear friend Yatri’s eldest son whose spirit and smile live on. Although I did not get to meet this brave sweet boy, to look at a photo of him is to know him. There is a light and kindness about him that shines through in pictures. Yatri has shared stories with me of how Campfire Circle (formerly Camp Oochigeas) played such a big part in helping Shiven and the whole family find moments of joy and “normalcy” during some incredibly tough times.

Help deliver healing through happiness to kids with cancer or serious illness and their families.
For over 40 years Campfire Circle has provided play-based experiences through our in-hospital, community, and overnight camps for kids with cancer or serious illness and their families. We empower kids to take back their childhood, regardless of their medical diagnosis.
Now, more than ever, kids with serious illness and their families need moments of joy, connection, and healing.
