I'm participating in the Sporting Life 10K this year to support Campfire Circle, a cause incredibly close to my heart. My nephew was diagnosed with leukemia at just 2 years old and bravely fought this challenging battle until he was 10. Witnessing his resilience and courage during these years deeply inspired me, and it made me realize how vital community support and meaningful experiences are for families navigating childhood cancer.
Campfire Circle provides exactly that—a nurturing environment where kids affected by cancer and their families can connect, find joy, and experience the magic of camp life, even during their toughest moments. Looking back, I know how immensely valuable a resource like Campfire Circle would have been for my nephew and our family during those difficult years.
I'm profoundly grateful for the impactful work Campfire Circle does, offering comfort, connection, and joy when families need it most. Your support will help ensure that more families facing the unimaginable challenges of childhood cancer can experience hope, happiness, and healing.

For over 40 years Campfire Circle has provided play-based experiences through our in-hospital, community, and overnight camps for kids with cancer or serious illness and their families. We empower kids to take back their childhood, regardless of their medical diagnosis.
Now, more than ever, kids with serious illness and their families need moments of joy, connection, and healing.
