YWCA Toronto is a leader and collaborator in the provision of feminist, intersectional and transformative programming and advocacy for women, girls and gender diverse people. Since opening our doors in 1873, we have been a stable and uniting force, working to improve the lives of communities facing marginalization across Toronto.

Today, YWCA Toronto is dedicated to improving the lives of women, girls and gender diverse people. As Ontario’s largest multi-service organization serving women, girls, and gender diverse people, we support nearly 13,000 people annually through 37 programs across 15 locations in Toronto, promoting women’s health, equity, economic security, and lives free from violence.   

We offer a range of housing and shelter options, employment and training programs, community support programs, leadership programming for girls and gender diverse youth, and family programs. We also engage in systemic non-partisan advocacy designed to influence policy and legislative change and push forward change in gender equity, poverty reduction and social justice.

Funds raised through this event help us support the nearly 13,000 women, gender diverse people, and families we serve each year to:

• Find safety and stability at our emergency shelters and affordable, permanent housing units;
• Heal from trauma and grow through holistic array of supportive services and programs;
• Develop critical job readiness skills through our employment and training programs;
• Grow their leadership abilities and confidence through our girls’ and youth programs, and so much more!
