In February 2021, during the pandemic, I decided to volunteer with Sea Paws Rescue. Little did I know that this decision would change the course of my life. I began as a Rescue Runner, then transitioned into the role of Rescue Guru, and subsequently Rescue Guru Manager. By the end of 2024, I had the honor of becoming a Rescue Director. Along the way, I’ve witnessed the incredible transformations of hundreds of dogs with their foster families and as they found their forever homes. However, as much as we celebrate each adoption, it never gets easier to see how many more dogs are still waiting for their chance. The need is constant, and that’s why I’m taking part in this run—to raise awareness and funds for the lives we’re still working to save. Every donation you make helps us continue our life-saving work and brings us one step closer to giving more dogs a brighter future.
