My Story…
I haven't done a race since 2011, so I'm training for the first time in 14 years to run a 5K. It's my goal for 2025 to get it done! My mother has Alzheimer's and has been progressively getting worse since around 2019 to the point where she barely knows who my sister and I are anymore. This is a horrible disease and I can only hope that science will develop a way to slow its progression or stop it entirely in my lifetime!
Description
I am participating in the 2025 Constantine Yorkville Run, in support of the Alzheimer Society of Toronto (AST). AST is able to offer free programs, education, healthcare navigation, and counselling for individuals living with dementia and their families and care partners, because of supporters like you!
Please help me reach my goal by supporting a cause close to my heart!
