My Story…

I’m running the Constantine Yorkville Run 2025 not just for fitness, but for something that quietly made a big impact on me during my time visiting Toronto—the Toronto Public Library. I wasn’t born here. I don’t live here. But in the time I’ve spent exploring this beautiful city, the library has always felt like a place where everyone belongs. Whether it was stumbling into a cozy branch on a cold day, watching kids get excited about reading, or seeing people of all ages learning, growing, and connecting—it left an impression on me. So, this 5K is for the stories I discovered here, the quiet moments I cherished, and the belief that access to knowledge should always be free and open. If you believe in the power of libraries and learning, please consider donating to the Toronto Public Library Foundation through my run.

Description

I am running for the Toronto Public Library Foundation.  You know that I believe strongly in the health and wellness of our communities.  The Toronto Public Library, with 100 branches across the city, is tapped into every neighbourhood, providing the resources, programs, and services to meet the unique needs of community members served.  

Your donation will support the biggest and busiest public library system in North America - the Toronto Public Library.  There are over 100,000 people using the Library each day and our Library has the greatest reach and capacity to advance social and economic impact in our community.
