Help Liz raise money

It’s that time of year again for me to hit up friends for donations to a cause that is as important to me as it was when I started doing these fundraising 5Ks in memory of Breana McGroarty. Breana was a a special young woman who lost her battle with mental illness in 2017. Her experience made the chasms in our public mental health care system all too palpable for her loved ones. In the years since her death I’ve participated in fundraising efforts for Stella's Place, a privately funded centre in Toronto, designed by young adults, their families, and professionals. It’s a fantastic space that provides comprehensive mental health services that offer immediate access to free supports, services and counselling in a positive, peer engaging community.
