Mountain Roots

Mountain Roots provides discovery and outdoor learning experiences year-round across Western North Carolina. Throughout the school year, Mountain Roots works with thousands of students (20+ schools) in Buncombe, Henderson, and Transylvania Counties. Working with each school partner, Mountain Roots strives to bring learning to life through hands-on exploration, outdoor play, and small group interactions. 

During the Summer months, Mountain Roots hosts 7 weeks of Day Camp for hundreds of campers from local communities and visiting families from across the country (even internationally). Mountain Roots Day Camp provides intentional and fun-filled adventures all summer long. From 4-year "Maples" to the Middle School "Roots Crew", the Mountain Roots Day Camp experience is designed so every individual, personality, and learning style are seen and recognized through connections within the camp community and diverse activities that flow from day to day.
