Help Michelle raise money

For the past three years I have been at mile 20 cheering on my angel on Earth  as she ran a marathon for my daughter, Melina.   She ran to honor Melina, The Melina Michelle Edenfield Foundation, and the friendship that our four year old girls shared.    Every year I ran mile 20-21 with her, so yes technically I have ran in the Akron Marathon.  🙃.  Over the  past three years more and more amazing people have started to run for my Melina and raise funds for the Melina Michelle Edenfield Foundation, and I could not be more honored.    

This  year I realized it wouldn’t be enough for Melina to have me on the sidelines.    Melina would say mommy it’s never enough, and she was right.    Will I ever run a marathon? No, that I can assure you.  With four knee surgeries a relay may be pushing it! However, I think of every child and family that are in our situation and quite frankly my physical discomforts are small in comparison to those struggles.    So this year I run because of Melina and I run for her and every family that deserves better! I run to make an impact.    I would never just let my girls watch, I would empower them to be the difference.    This year I am joining the best relay team and will be running the last leg for Melina, and every child who’s battle was lost too soon.    We are running to raise funds for clinical research for the Melina Michelle Edenfield Foundation.   We are running for Joy, for Melina Joy!
