Help Kelsey raise money

This is my third year joining Team Bryak in support of the Centre for Suicide Prevention. Through the years, I've had family members, friends, and friends of friends choose to take their lives. There have now been 5 people in my life who have made this choice, and a few more still who were children of people I know, or friends of people I know.

Suicide affects everyone, in some way shape or form. And the reason I joined this team is to support the discussions around the topic of suicide. People need to know that there are folks who are suffering, even if they have the biggest smiles on their faces. I want those people to be able to share their struggles without feeling ashamed or judged.

I want more folks to be able to notice the signs, know how to engage and reach out, and most importantly just be present with the person who is struggling, so that person feels their welcoming and unbiased presence. The more we can support each other, the more we can get rid of the taboo that still seems to suffocate the term suicide.
