On October 18th, I’ll be running the 10K race at the 9 Run Run event in Stittsville, with a special mission in mind: to raise funds for the Ottawa First Responders Foundation.

As a proud member of the Ottawa Paramedic Service since 2020, I’ve had the privilege of serving alongside dedicated first responders who give their all, often at great personal cost. Every day, we face challenges that push us to our limits—whether it’s providing emergency care, supporting people in crisis, or being the calm voice in someone’s darkest moment. The Ottawa First Responders Foundation works tirelessly to support the mental health and well-being of first responders like me—paramedics, firefighters, police officers—ensuring that those who help others can also receive the care and support they need.
