My Story…
My name is Betty and I am a Pancreatic Cancer survivor! I live in Milford, Ct and this is my first walk with Project Purple.
I was diagnosed in May 2019. After my Whipple procedure and 2 separate chemotherapy rounds and radiation, I was done in June 2022. I am on 6 months surveillance with Ct scans and bloodwork. I have other complications from the chemo like neuropathy, osteoporosis and PBC. Taking Creon and other medication and vitamins to keep my numbers within range.
My husband and I have done lots of traveling and taking each day as it comes. My bucket list trip to the Galapagos Islands while on chemo was the best!
I am planning to do the walk at Walnut Beach on Saturday, March 15 at 11am. If anyone would like to join us, it would be great!
