My Story…
Cancer does not discriminate. It doesn't care if you are old, young, in great shape or not, it strikes when you least expect it and affects not only the person with the diagnosis but also their entire family and friend network. Cancer is a club that none of us want to belong to but for those of us who have been thrust into it, we find strength from those who have walked the same path as us or from those who walk beside us as we wage our fight.
I have decided that I am going to take on my first "Virtual" 5k in honor of a dear friend who recently became a member of this horrible club and was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Please help me in raising awareness and fundraising $$ that will go towards research of this terrible disease.
