Before registering, please keep in mind the following information:
Age requirements: Participants must be 16 years old as of December 31, 2025 to run the race. The wave and age category you are in on race day is also based on your age as of December 31, 2025. This means for those born after July 19, 2025, you may be racing in a category that does not match your current age, but would be your age come December 31.
Deferred an entry from last year? You will receive a code which will cover your registration fee for 2025. This code does not cover fees for Triathlon Ontario, Race Roster or if you choose to get a race shirt this year. Only those athletes who had a confirmation by the race director in 2024 will receive a code for a deferred entry. If you did not show up on race day, and did not confirm with the race director you wanted to defer, you are not eligible for a free entry.
Registration fees remain the same as 2024 until April 30. You also will be charged for a one-day membership fee for Triathlon Ontario. This charge will be confirmed prior to registration opening in 2025.
If you email racedirector@lakeshoretri.com with proof of your 2025 Triathlon Ontario membership before your register, you will receive a promo code to remove the fee. If you send this information after registering (but before the race), this fee will be refunded.
Race t-shirts are available for a fee: If you want a race shirt, you will need to pay an additional $10 fee and choose your size. In order to ensure your shirt size, you must do this by April 30, 2024. Sizing may be limited after this date as we need to order shirts well in advance of the race.
Can't race anymore? If you can no longer complete, you can have your registration fee refunded before May 31, 2025 (minus fees). If you ordered a t-shirt and still would like to receive it, we will not refund this, and can arrange to get you your shirt. You could also decide to defer to 2026 instead of receiving a refund.
As of June 1, we will only offer deferrals for the 2026 triathlon for any cancellations known to us before June 30, 2025.
Any cancellations July 1-race day, including no shows to race day will not receive a refund or deferral. We will not respond to any inquiries requesting this during this time.

Non-profit race: All race organizers are volunteers. We are working hard to bring you a great, safe race. Please recognize that and be patient. We will be providing information as soon as we have details confirmed.
This is our third year in Saugeen Shores, and we are looking to make it bigger and better than ever. Last year, thanks to our racers and sponsors we donated more than $10,000 back to local community organizations. This year we are asking for your help to make that even bigger. Participants are able to donate directly to the organizations we support as part of their registration or can choose to fundraise for more donations while they train. The organizations we support are:
Bruce Shrine Club: These are our eyes on the bike course, ensuring no rider is left behind, and anyone who needs assistance is promptly supported.
Women's House Serving Bruce and Grey: As a women's only race, we feel a strong responsibility to give back to organizations that serve and support women.
Kabaeshiwim Respite Women's Shelter: Recognizing our race is run in the traditional territory of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation, we know it is important to show our support to Saugeen's women as well.
