Welcome and thank you for supporting Team Cell Phones for Soldiers in this year’s Falmouth Road Race! 

I’m Brittany Bergquist, co-founder of this organization and proud Team Captain for our incredible group of runners. Every year, this race holds a special place in my heart- not just as a lifelong local tradition, but as a powerful opportunity to give back to the military community that inspired my family to launch this nonprofit more than 20 years ago.

Back in 2004, my brother and I started Cell Phones for Soldiers with one simple goal: to help deployed service members stay connected to their families. Since then, thanks to the support of people like you, our mission has grown into something far larger than we could have imagined. We've provided over 450 million minutes of free talk time, helped thousands of veterans facing financial hardship, and recycled more than 25 million mobile devices- all to honor and assist those who serve.

Running, (or more often spectating), the Falmouth Road Race each year is deeply personal to me. It’s a celebration of community, resilience, and purpose. As Team Captain this year, I am incredibly proud of our runners- many of whom have a personal connection to our cause and have run for our mission for many years- and of the impact their fundraising makes possible.

How Your Support Makes a Difference

The funds raised by our Falmouth Road Race runners go directly toward making these programs possible. Every dollar raised helps us assist veterans transitioning to civilian life by providing cell phones and wireless service to low-income and homeless veterans.

Specifically, your generous donations directly impact veterans in the following ways:

- $20 Donation: Provides one month of unlimited talk, text, and data, helping a low-income or homeless veteran stay connected to essential resources like employment, healthcare, and the VA.

- $30 Donation: Supplies an entry-level smartphone to a veteran in need.

- $50 Donation: Covers both an entry-level smartphone and one month of unlimited service

- $100 Donation: Delivers an entry-level smartphone and three months of unlimited talk, text, and data.

For me, this race is more than just miles on the course- it’s about honoring the sacrifices of service members and ensuring they’re never disconnected or forgotten. It’s about rallying a team, a community, and a cause I care deeply about.

I’m incredibly grateful to our runners, supporters, and donors for being part of this mission. Together, we are running stronger- for connection, for support, and for service.
