The Major David Brodeur Memorial Foundation is again honored to be a non-profit selection for the Falmouth Road Race for the 10th year. I am again running (for my 15th year) to honor David, my nephew, a hero. A life taken too early by the horrendous action of an Afghan coward. His legacy lives on as this foundation gives back to the town he so loved and represented for his entire life.
"The mission of The Major David Brodeur Memorial Foundation is to honor the life of Major David Brodeur by awarding college scholarships and working collaboratively with the students of the Auburn public schools to provide grants for activities in the areas of academics, leadership, and community engagement."
All donations go back to the foundation to help us in the awarding of the scholarships and grants. Those awards keep this foundation and Dave's legacy as leader in the minds of the students and teachers in the town of Auburn.
I hope you'll be able to assist me in some way to reach my fundraising goal. I'm looking forward to running with my teammates and 12,500 friends. I do it with David on my shoulder.
