Help Ciara raise money

Hi everyone!! My name is Ciara Barretto and I will be running on the 2025 Marisa’s Mission team this August. In June of 2019 I ran my last race The Run to Remember in Boston and 2 days later my life changed forever. I went to the doctor and was sent by ambulance to the Brigham in Boston where they found a 20 CM tumor on my ovary . I was in major surgery within days , followed by a 5 day stay at Brigham and Woman’s Dana Farber . When my blood results , tumor markers and pathology results came back shortly after I was diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer .

At  the young age of 34 my world was flipped upside down . After 3 long months of chemotherapy , losing all my hair  and wondering how i would ever go on after battling this disease I was dumped back into the world to figure it out. 5 years of CT scans , monthly blood draws & tumor marker monitoring , November 2024 I was deemed cured and cancer free. It has taken years to talk about this journey I went on including my family and friends and anyone who knew who also lived it real time with me .

I always knew when i was ready I would find a way to support the cancer journey and I know Marisa’s Mission is the exact way! This foundation is remarkable in what they do and how they help . I am honored to be on this team , along side my mother , sister and many amazing people to raise money for Marisa’s Mission and anyone on the cancer journey. please help me hit my goal ! no amount is to little and l’am forever grateful for you all !
