Why I'm running in support of AAFA New England
This year year I will be running the 53rd Falmouth Road Race for the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, New England Chapter. This cause is close to my heart.
In September of 2022 my dear friend Patrick Miner died unexpectedly from a rare case of undiagnosed eosinophilic asthma. He was 37. Thirteen months later in October of 2023 my dear friend Michael Brown died unexpectedly as a result of an allergic reaction to a bee sting. He was 41.
Patrick and Michael both had huge personalities, were incredibly caring, fun-loving, family men who adored baseball and a good time. I miss them both so much every damn day. On August 18th I will look to crush the Falmouth Road in their honor. Support those who support you and let's knock it out of the park for Brownie and Pat.
