Help Emma raise money

Hi! I am so excited to be running The 2025 Falmouth Road Race this year with NF Northeast! This race is one of my favorite days of the year, and both this day and NF Northeast hold a special place in my heart.

I was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis (NF) when I was 18 months old. When I was 14 years old, my doctors at Boston Children's Hospital noticed a slight droop in my right eye, which led to an MRI scan where the doctors found a benign brain tumor. I continued getting routine scans to monitor the tumors growth. When I was 17, I had brain surgery to remove about 50% of the tumor. 

At 21, I started having seizures. These seizures were unexpected. My doctors at Boston Children’s helped me through undoubtedly the scariest time in my life.  Today I am 2 years seizure free!

I realized that although that was a very scary time in my life, my experience was relatively mild compared to the daily challenges faced by many others living with NF.

For this reason, I love running with NF Northeast to raise awareness and run for those with NF who are unable to do so themselves.
