My Story…

Since 2023, I've run the Falmouth Road Race on team BIA-MA with my Dad in mind, who suffered a severe traumatic brain injury in 2021. His road to recovery was complicated and difficult, but it was also beautiful. He could no longer do many of the things he once saw value in. But the truest, most cherished, priceless parts of his personality shone through long after his injury--somehow even brighter than before. He continued to light up the lives of all those around him until he passed away November 2024 in a tragic and preventable accident.

My dad was warm, welcoming, and funny. He was a friendly face, a fabulous listener, and an earnest supporter of his friends and family. His life-long love of music, playing guitar, and singing (especially for others) was accentuated by his sudden ample free time and muscle memory for performing. He loved the outdoors, he loved being my dad, and I miss him every day.

I'm running for BIA-MA to empower better outcomes and support for brain injury survivors in Massachusetts and beyond and to honor my dad's memory by fundraising to advance that goal.

Thank you for coming to my page to make a donation toward my efforts to support the Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts (BIA-MA)!

BIA-MA strives to create a better future for all those affected by brain injury. The purpose of the organization is to educate the public on the risk and impact of brain injury, to promote programs that educate and prevent those injuries, to advocate for improved legislation, and to offer support and resources to individuals with brain injuries, their caregivers, and their families.

Together, we are the VOICE OF BRAIN INJURY!
