Why We Run:
In Memory, In Support, In Hope
This year, we are proud and honored to run the Falmouth Road Race together as part of TEAM AAFA New England, supporting the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, New England Chapter. This cause is incredibly personal to both of us, as we run in loving memory of Michael Brown, a beloved brother and brother-in-law, who tragically passed away in October 2023 from an anaphylactic reaction to a bee sting. He was just 41.
Asthma and allergies have deeply affected our lives—not just through Michael’s sudden loss, but through personal experiences and the everyday challenges we’ve witnessed in our families and communities. Growing up around asthma and allergies, we’ve seen the fear, the uncertainty, and the limitations these conditions can impose. Michael’s passing deepened our commitment to raising awareness, advocating for education, and supporting research and access to treatment.
Every step we take during this race is for Michael—and for every individual and family affected by asthma and life-threatening allergies. We run with purpose, with love, and with hope for a future where no life is cut short due to these conditions.

I am excited to be part of AAFA New England's 2025 ASICS Falmouth Road Race Team!
AAFA New England helps the community of people in New England who are impacted by allergic diseases and asthma, through educational programming, public awareness, support for research and legislative advocacy.
This is AAFA New England's FOURTH Falmouth Road Race team. I am eager to help them continue their important work.
