My Story…
Hi Folks!
This year, I'm running the Falmouth Road Race for the Heart Warrior Foundation which raises money for children affected by Congenital Heart Defects (https://heartwarriorfoundation.com/).
As some of you are aware, I was diagnosed with severe congestive heart failure in 2017. I was able to get back to full normal heart function after about 9 months, and while I missed the 2017 race, I ran the race again in 2018, and have run several Falmouth Road Races since.
I was very fortunate to have great doctors, health coverage, and the support of my family, friends, and co-workers who all helped me along the way, and I'm proud to say that I've maintained normal heart function since.
For my 20th Falmouth Road Race, I was looking for a charity team that would support heart health in some way, and I'm proud to be a part of a team that supports children affected by Congenital Heart Defects and their families.
