My Story…
We're excited to be running this year's Falmouth Road Race to raise funds for the MINDlink Foundation!
MINDlink supports the vital research on cerebellar ataxia that Anna is involved in through her work in the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Ataxia Center and Schmahmann Lab. Cerebellar ataxia is a rare and progressive neurological condition that affects balance, coordination, and speech, as well as cognition and emotional processing. There are many different causes and types of cerebellar ataxia, often life-shortening, and have devastating impacts on the livelihoods of patients and their families. Our research studying the underlying mechanisms, developing diagnostic tools and biomarkers, and supporting clinical trials of new therapies, is critical for improving the lives of individuals affected by these conditions.
