We are so psyched and honored to be running Falmouth this summer in support of William’s Be Yourself Challenge!

William Wolfgang Shaw was a vibrant, kind, and adventurous 9-year-old who tragically passed away in a ski accident on February 19, 2019, while on vacation with his family in Big Sky, MT. A third grader at Carlisle Public School, William was known for his wavy blonde hair, flat-brimmed hats, and fearless love of “extreme” sports like skateboarding, parkour, and ski racing.

Despite struggling with anxiety and self-doubt, William worked with a therapist to find confidence and joy in being himself. "Be Yourself" became his personal mantra in 2018—a spirit he fully embraced and shared with everyone around him. His legacy of authenticity, kindness, and enthusiasm lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.

This fundraiser honors William’s memory and celebrates the message he lived by: Be Yourself.

Help Us Build The Green House – A Sanctuary for Grieving Families

For families navigating deep grief, travel and healing can feel out of reach—emotionally and financially. That’s where The Green House comes in.

Inspired by William Wolfgang Shaw’s legacy, The Green House will be a peaceful, week-long retreat—completely free—for families who have lost a child. A place to step away, reflect, and begin to rebuild.

Our goal: support 52 families each year with rest, connection, and healing in a space designed with love and care.

To make this vision real, we’re raising $2 million to purchase and sustain the home. Your gift—whether $25 for a grief journal or $500 to outfit a bedroom—brings us closer.
