Help Megan raise money

For participating in The 2025 ASICS Falmouth Road Race

Support the mission to save and heal lives through donation!

Hello Everyone! Thank you for once again taking the time to visit my Falmouth Road Race fundraising page. It is hard to believe that I will be completing my 12th Falmouth, once again as part of team NEDS and I could not be more honored. I have always loved running, even from a small age. The Falmouth Road Race however was what truly sparked my love for road races. I always think back to my very first Falmouth and how incredibly nervous I had been. Fast forward to now I live for this day and genuinely get so excited to take part. The best part of this race is being able to run for NEDS. The connections that I have made throughout the years are heartwarming and incredibly inspiring.

NEDS has and always will hold a special place in my heart. As many of you know my Dad received a kidney transplant, the gift of life, back in 2007. That transplant gave us 13 more beautiful years with him. As I look ahead to August it will now be my 5th Falmouth where he isn’t on the sidelines cheering me on. This year is weighing a bit heavier for sure. For some reason the 5th anniversary of his passing and the 5th year running without him on the sidelines hits a bit different. Year 5 on all fronts is a bit harder to digest. As I run this years race I am going to channel the strength and determination that my dad possessed each and every single day.

I have said it before and I will say it again, I strongly believe that this is one of my many purposes in life. I plan to run this race as a part of team NEDS for as long as I possibly can. I will continue to run for my dad and to honor my dad. He was a true inspiration to me, and I am still continuously in awe of his perseverance and determination.

Finally, I also run this race to show my two boys, Liam and Owen, that anything you put your mind to is possible. That they should voice and support the things that they feel passionately about. It is a great opportunity for me as their mom to share a part of my Dad's story with them. I hope they can really start to see how special of a man their Pépère was and that this is just one way to help keep his memory alive. 💛

Thank you to everyone who continuously supports me each year. I am forever grateful for your kindness and generosity. Please know that your donation no matter the size has the power to save a life. 💙💚

Here is to you Daddy. Love you BIG. 💛

Description

New England Donor Services is the not-for-profit organization serving the region for organ and tissue donation. There are currently 6,500 patients waiting for an organ transplant in New England and countless others will require tissue to heal this year. With approximately half of the population registered donor, it's critical for more people to join the Donor Registry today. Funds are needed to help educate the community about the importance of organ and tissue donation and the need across the community. Give now and show your support!
