I'm raising money to help people and families with autism live life to the fullest!
I'm so excited to be running the 2025 Falmouth Road Race on behalf of the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism.
As a mother of a child with autism, I know firsthand the challenges and joys that come with raising a child with unique needs. Our family's journey has been one of love, patience, and constant learning. Every child, including Wes, deserves the best opportunities for growth, development, and inclusion. By raising funds to support the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism, I hope to provide access to critical resources, therapies, and support systems that can make a real difference in the lives of children with autism. I've become wildly passionate about creating a world where my child—and all neurodivergent children—are understood, supported, and given the tools to thrive. Fundraising is my way of advocating for a brighter future and ensuring that no family has to face this journey alone.
While this is a page asking for donations, if that isn't possible right now, that's okay! The most impactful way to participate is by educating yourself, and your children/nieces/nephews/family members/friends, about neurodiversity. Prevalence of ASD is 1 in 36 children. This is not a new or make believe statistic. You likely know someone, other than Wes, that will be impacted by this diagnosis. On the off chance you don't, I promise the child in front of you in the grocery line or a family member at the table next to you in the restaurant is. Give grace. Practice patience. Demonstrate acceptance. Include them.
If you made it this far, thank you. Thank you for taking the time to find this page. Thank you for supporting Wes. Thank you for learning about the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism. Thank you for being an ally.
Godspeed to my knees. See you out there! xo

Former NFL Quarterback, Doug Flutie, and his wife Laurie started the Doug Flutie, Jr. Flutie Foundation for Autism in 1998 after their son, Dougie, was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. Their personal experience of raising a son on the autism spectrum inspired them to help others on an equally long and challenging journey. Over its 26-year history, the Flutie Foundation has distributed over $14 million to schools and organizations that provide clinical therapies, respite services, recreational programs, social skills training, job supports and more for people affected by autism.
The Flutie Foundation also provides education technology tools, adaptive camp scholarships, safety equipment, and direct family support through its special programs. The Flutie Foundation’s newest initiative, Flutie Spectrum Enterprises, will help create businesses to employ adults with autism.
