My Story…
After 7+ years taking time off running due to a heel injury followed by a heart aneurysm diagnosis, with the clear from my cardiologist I am ready to get back at it.
I am happy to be running again... and especially excited that I am running for an amazing cause!
Learn to Cope is a non-profit organization that is close to my heart, not only because I have worked for the organization for the past eight years, but because I am a family member directly affected by substance use disorder. SUD is a disease that impacts everyone - whether directly or indirectly - and when it involves a close family member, the entire family is impacted. I am thankful that today my loved one is doing well, but I won't ever take that for granted.
The Falmouth Road Race has always been a favorite of mine, and to be stepping back into running after a long hiatus and to do it by participating in this race for an amazing organization makes it all that more meaningful to me. I truly believe in Learn to Cope and the work we do for families and loved ones of those battling drug and alcohol addiction.
I'm proud to be representing Learn to Cope as a member of the LTC Falmouth Road Race team, and hope you feel it in your heart to support my efforts by donating to this very worthy cause. ALL donations no matter how small or large will allow us to continue our work helping folks navigate the often scary, difficult, heart-wrenching waters of addiction.
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your support.
With Gratitude,
Eileen
