Help Cora raise money

This year, I've decided to dedicate my run to fundraising for a wonderful organization: Maria Droste Counseling Services, a non-profit mental health therapy center located south of Boston.

As many of you know, I recently experienced the devastating loss of my dear friend, Danit. Her sudden passing was incredibly difficult, and in the aftermath, I personally needed support to cope with acute symptoms of grief and trauma. I was fortunate to find a therapist who accepted my insurance, making sessions accessible to me. However, I know this isn't the reality for many individuals seeking mental health care. Barriers like long wait times, limited insurance options, high costs, and a shortage of specialists often make it incredibly difficult for people to get the help they need.

That's why I'm so passionate about supporting Maria Droste Counseling. Their mission is to provide therapy services to anyone who walks through their doors, regardless of their ability to pay. Despite having a small team, they offer therapy sessions to all who inquire, accepting various insurance plans and also providing sliding scale and zero-cost rates for those without private insurance. By fundraising for Maria Droste, I hope to help them expand their capacity to offer these crucial low-cost and no-cost therapy options to more people in need.

As a mental health professional myself, I understand the significant challenges individuals face in finding accessible and affordable therapy. In today's demanding world, where unexpected stressors are common, I firmly believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to access mental health support at a rate that is manageable for them.

Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a real difference in helping this organization provide vital mental health services to those who might otherwise go without.
