I am excited to be able to run the famous Falmouth Road Race in August for The Joseph Middlemiss Big Heart Foundation. I got to know the Middlemiss family while training for the Boston Marathon, and they are wonderful people who have been dealt a difficult hand. They lost their son, Joseph, at age 6 to cardiomyopathy, a disease of the heart muscle. Their other son, Jack, was also diagnosed with the disease, but thanks to a donor, he was able to get a heart transplant. Jack has to go through regular infusions as well as annual heart biopsies, but he is a fighter. I am honored to be able to run for Team Big Heart and raise money to honor Joseph and help with Jack's continuous fight. Please consider becomming an organ donor if you are not already, you don't know whose life you could save. <3
