My Story…

The Bish Strong Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by my good friend DJ Bishop — or as many of us know him, “Bish.” DJ suffered a diving accident that fractured his C4, C5, and C6 vertebrae, resulting in a complete spinal cord injury. He was left paralyzed from the shoulders down, diagnosed as a quadriplegic. In an instant, life as DJ knew it changed forever — but what didn’t change was his determination to keep moving forward and help others do the same.

DJ not only puts in the work every day for his own recovery, but also goes above and beyond to support others through his foundation. The Bish Strong Foundation provides resources and financial assistance to individuals living with spinal cord injuries or limited mobility, helping them stay active, gain independence, and live fulfilling lives despite the daily challenges they face.

His mental toughness and resilience in the face of adversity are nothing short of inspiring. From the long drives to physical therapy to the relentless workouts he powers through at home, DJ truly lives by his foundation’s slogan: Make Every Day Count. His no-quit mindset continues to motivate everyone around him, and he isn’t just fighting for himself — he’s building a path for others, too.

I’m proud to run for this incredible foundation and in honor of my friend. Your donations directly impact the lives of individuals living with spinal cord injuries, giving them access to the support they need to keep pushing forward.

Thank you for being part of this journey and helping shine a light on such an important cause
