Welcome to my 2025 ASICS Falmouth Road Race Page!
Hello Everyone! Thank you for visiting my page. My name is Renzo, and I am a brain tumor survivor. I had a benign brain tumor, and while surgery was successful in removing the tumor, I was left with bilateral facial paralysis and significant balance deficits.
I was always an athlete, and after surgery, I thought I would never be able to do anything athletic again.
In 2023, 12 years after surgery, I finally was able to run straight. I was inspired by my friend Warren to get back into running. My first event was with him, in New Jersey. I was scared that I would fall because I have severe balance issues, or worse, not finish the race. I didnt fall, and I finished the race. This event proved to me that I can run and be athletic again.
Fast forward to January 2025, I did my first running event with Gray Nation Endurance. I ran a 5K in Walt Disney World. This event with Gray Nation Endurance was a catalyst for me to get back into running consistently, and I haven’t stopped.
I run with Gray Nation Endurance because I want to inspire others. I want other survivors in similar circumstances to know that what you may think is lost forever, really isn’t lost.
