As a student developing in the mental health field, and having a passion to address the misconceptions about mental health disorders, I am grateful to be able to contribute to MHC's mission to provide education regarding the recognition and treatment of a variety of mental health implications that many adults and children experience. Especially concerning marginalized groups in our community, I believe it is important to ensure everyone has access to mental health resources, and has the ability to recognize signs of distress or impairment to an individual's well being. Publicizing the benefits of psychological research is just the first step to preventing debilitating effects of mental health implications, so I want to say thank you for helping communities develop self-efficacy in this important field!
