Welcome to my 2025 ASICS Falmouth Road Race Page!
🏃♀️ We're Running Falmouth—Again—for a Cause That Hits Home 🧠
This summer, my mom, Sherrie, and I are lacing up our sneakers for the Falmouth Road Race—a beautiful 7-mile run through Woods Hole, Massachusetts. We’ll be running as part of the National Brain Tumor Society’s charity team, raising funds to support critical brain tumor research and patient resources.
This will be my fifth year running with NBTS, and Sherrie’s fourth. We’ve come a long way since that very first race—sleeping in cars, relying on scooters to get around, and having no idea what we were doing. These days, our NBTS journey has taken us to races across the country and even internationally. But no matter where we run, Falmouth is where our story began.
The reason we run is deeply personal.
A few years ago, someone close to me—my high school roommate and lifelong friend—was unexpectedly diagnosed with a brain tumor. What started as some clumsy moments and strange symptoms led to the discovery of a glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. Like many, I immediately turned to Google and found myself overwhelmed with frightening statistics and very few hopeful stories.
Then I found the National Brain Tumor Society. I applied to join their running team, hoping to turn fear into action. That decision changed everything.
Today, we run for Sara, who continues to manage her condition with strength and humor; for Gayle, Sherrie’s college roommate, whose life was cut short by the same diagnosis, AND for Melissa, our beloved NBTS teammate who always kicked our asses at Falmouth!
We run with hope, purpose, and a deep sense of gratitude.
🧡 Please consider supporting our run by donating today. Every dollar helps NBTS fund life-saving research and offer vital support to families navigating a brain tumor diagnosis.
