I’m Running the 2025 Falmouth Road Race for Walker & the Jett Foundation

I’m proud to be running the 2025 Falmouth Road Race to raise awareness and funds for the Jett Foundation, an incredible organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).

This cause is very close to my heart because my amazing nephew, Walker, lives with Duchenne. He is strong, brave, and inspires me every single day.

What is Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy?

DMD is a rare and devastating genetic disorder that primarily affects boys. It causes progressive muscle weakness, starting in early childhood, and eventually impacts the ability to walk, breathe, and even the heart. Sadly, Duchenne is fatal, and most individuals with the disease face a significantly shortened life expectancy—often living only into their 20s or 30s.

While there is currently no cure, research and support programs can greatly improve quality of life and extend time with loved ones. That’s why the work of the Jett Foundation is so critical. They provide resources, education, advocacy, and hope to families like ours.

By joining this race, I want to honor Walker and all those battling DMD by helping fund programs, research, and services that truly make a difference.

Every step I take is for Walker—and every dollar we raise brings us closer to a world where Duchenne no longer steals futures.
