My Story…
Concord-Carlisle Community
William's Be Yourself Challenge and The Green House is on a mission to support grieving families. This organization has provided our community with essential grief support and resources to all. Help them in their mission to build a retreat on the coast for families to heal, find solace, and regain strength in a peaceful environment.
This organization is run in honor of William Shaw who we had the privilege of knowing. We will remember the rides down the Shaw driveway, and volunteering in his 3rd grade classroom. William was an incredibly kind, joyful, and respectful kid to everyone, and it is amazing to see what his family has done in his honor for others.
Personal
With time, I have come to understand the impact of loss and the importance of allowing ourselves to properly grieve. Throughout my life, I’ve faced personal loss and navigated through life changes that have forced me to experience the challenging and often beautiful stages of grief. During these times, running became an outlet, helping me process difficult emotions and find clarity. Grieving is not something to be suppressed, but a process that deserves appropriate space and care. Running the Falmouth race in support of the William Shaw Foundation gives others the opportunity to embrace both the pain and the beauty of grief in an effort to find peace.
