OUR FINISH LINE SAYS ALS DONE!
Over the past two summers, I’ve had the opportunity to work for T&K Asphalt Services, where I got to know more than just the day-to-day operations of an incredible paving company - I also learned about the inspiring legacy of Kevin Gosnell. Kevin is the founder of T&K and the driving force behind ALS One, a nonprofit organization committed to finding a cure for ALS and supporting families affected by this devastating disease. He dedicated the last chapter of his life to building something much larger than himself before losing his battle to ALS in 2016.
Even though I never met Kevin personally, his story and the values he lived by including honesty, resilience, compassion, respect, and community have made a lasting impact on me. Those values are embedded in the culture at both T&K and ALS One, and you can feel them in the people who carry his mission forward every day.
Running this race and fundraising for ALS One is my way of honoring Kevin’s legacy and supporting a cause I’ve grown genuinely passionate about. I’ve been looking for meaningful ways to stay involved with this organization ever since I started working for Kevin’s company, and this race is just one step in giving back to Kevin, his family, and the fight he bravely started.
If you’re able to donate, no matter the amount it truly means a lot. Not just to me, but to the many families impacted by ALS around the world. Thank you for your support.
