My Story…
I'm running the Falmouth Road Race this year to support Cell Phones For Soldiers: a national non-profit organization dedicated to providing cost-free communication services and emergency funding to active-duty military members and veterans.
My friend Rob and his sister Brittany started CPFS in 2004 when they realized a problem that soldiers were facing: expensive phone bills to stay in touch with their loved ones.
So how does it work? For over 20 years, CPFS has been recycling older cell phones, utilizing the proceeds to fund their mission. Since its inception, they have recycled 25 million phones, reduced CO2 emissions by 1.72 billion kgs, provided 400 million minutes of talk time to service members worldwide, and assisted 7500 individuals via emergency funds.
Please consider donating to support an organization that touches the lives of so many active duty service members and veterans!
