Running for Every Voice
This August, I'm running the Falmouth Road Race in support of the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism—a cause incredibly close to my heart.
My 5-year-old son, Lorenzo, is on the autism spectrum and is nonverbal. I also have an amazing 18-year-old daughter graduating high school this year, who lives with an intellectual disability.
I'm running not just for my children, but for every child and family affected by autism. For every voice that deserves to be heard. For every step toward inclusion, understanding, and support.
This race is just the beginning. My hope is to run the Boston Marathon in April 2026-and I'm starting that journey now, fueled by love, purpose, and the belief that we can make a difference together.
Every step I take is for them. Every mile I run is for their future.

Former NFL Quarterback, Doug Flutie, and his wife Laurie started the Doug Flutie, Jr. Flutie Foundation for Autism in 1998 after their son, Dougie, was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. Their personal experience of raising a son on the autism spectrum inspired them to help others on an equally long and challenging journey. Over its 26-year history, the Flutie Foundation has distributed over $14 million to schools and organizations that provide clinical therapies, respite services, recreational programs, social skills training, job supports and more for people affected by autism.
The Flutie Foundation also provides education technology tools, adaptive camp scholarships, safety equipment, and direct family support through its special programs. The Flutie Foundation’s newest initiative, Flutie Spectrum Enterprises, will help create businesses to employ adults with autism.
