My Story…
Hello all, this year I am running the Falmouth Road Race for the Doc Wayne Foundation. I grew up in Mississippi and sports were in my every day life with my step father being a sports editor and living in a college town. My parents are planning to fly into BOS from MS and plan to visit the Cape for the first time for the race. I went on to run track in college and have continued to use running as a way to cope with challenging times that I have experienced. I am now a licensed mental health therapist in Massachusetts working with a diverse population of adults in the greater Boston community.
I believe in the mission that the Doc Wayne Foundation that every child has the right to mental health treatment. And as research shows, sports induced therapy has positively influenced multiple aspects of peoples lives. Doc Wayne is the right fit for me to represent due to our mutual understanding of fitness and clinical mental health interventions to develop a positive outcome to underserved communities.
Thanks in advance for the donations and see you on August 18th!
