Running for a Cause: In Honor of My Mother-in-Law
This year, I’m lacing up my running shoes and running to raise awareness and support for those affected by dementia and Alzheimer’s —especially my incredible mother-in-law, who was recently diagnosed. Although we never got an official diagnosis, it was something of cognitive nature, therefore I found the closest group to fundraiser for.
She was a woman of quiet strength, endless kindness, and a deep love for her family. Watching her face this disease has been both heartbreaking and humbling. Through this run, I hope to honor her courage and resilience, and to contribute to a future where better support, treatments, and understanding are available to all who are affected.
Every step I take is for her—and for the millions of families walking a similar path. Thank you for supporting this cause so close to my heart.
