My Story…
Running has always been a passion of mine — a source of consistency, joy, stress relief, and a way to truly embrace life. But this year, running means even more to me. I’m excited to share that I’ll be running for the Mental Health Collaborative (MHC) in the upcoming Falmouth Road Race — a cause that resonates deeply with me.
As an athlete, I’ve spent years pushing my body to its limits in the gym, on the ice, and in countless practices. But one lesson stands out: true strength isn’t just about muscle or endurance — it’s about mental resilience. Too often, mental health is misunderstood, stigmatized, or seen as a weakness rather than an essential part of overall well-being.
I’ve seen firsthand how athletes — including my teammates, friends, and even myself — can struggle silently with anxiety, stress, self-doubt, and more. The pressure to appear strong on the outside, even when struggling internally, is all too familiar. That’s why I’m passionate about supporting MHC’s mission to break the stigma around mental health, provide education, raise awareness, and empower individuals to prioritize their well-being.
By running for MHC, I’m joining a movement to change how we talk about mental health, both in sports and beyond. I’m not just running for myself — I’m running for everyone who has ever felt like they had to face their struggles alone, in the dark, or in silence. Because the truth is — we are never really alone. There is always someone to talk to, support you, or in this case, run for you.
My goal is to raise $1,200, and every donation, big or small, will directly support MHC’s initiatives. If mental health is something you believe in, care about, or want to see change, I invite you to join me in making a difference.
Thank you for your support, and I hope you’ll follow along as I train, share my journey, and work to make a real impact.
