Why I Run – For Children, For Families, For Community
This summer marks my third time running the Falmouth Road Race for the Children’s Trust — and my sixth year working with this incredible team and organization. You could say I’m in it for the long run (literally and figuratively!).

Why do I lace up my sneakers and tackle the hills and heat of Falmouth in August? Because I believe every family deserves support, every child deserves a strong start, and every community thrives when we work together to care for one another. The Children’s Trust team and our community partners work to prevent child abuse and build strong, resilient families across Massachusetts—and I am so proud to be a part of that mission.

The Falmouth Road Race isn’t just a run—it’s a celebration. It’s where strangers become cheerleaders, runners become teammates, and our collective energy turns into something powerful. It’s the perfect place to share what we do with people who care deeply about helping others, just like we do. Running alongside thousands of people, knowing we’re all giving back in our own way, is what re-energizes me to dig deep and power through even the toughest days or toughest hills.

So I’ll be running, sweating, and smiling (and probably regretting I didn't train more) as I move toward the finish line—with our shared goal in my heart and the families and communities I have the privilege to serve on my mind. Thanks for cheering me on!
