I'm running the 53rd ASICS Falmouth Road Race for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation
Please consider donating to help cancer patients. The race is this Sunday. THANK YOU to those who already donated!
As a twelve-year cancer survivor, I feel very lucky to be training for the 53rd Falmouth Road Race this August as a team member of the Joe Andruzzi Foundation. The Foundation provides assistance to patients throughout New England who have fallen into financial hardships as a result of a cancer diagnosis. The JAF offers assistance and wellness programs focusing on specific target areas that cancer regimens typically disrupt such as everyday household expenses like mortgage or rent, utilities, food, and transportation.
Description
The Joe Andruzzi Foundation (JAF) is committed to providing assistance to patients of all ages, any cancer, throughout New England who are struggling financially due to a cancer diagnosis. JAF understands that everyday living expenses don’t stop because of a diagnosis, and JAF provides various programs to help patients make ends meet. Because patients and families must often devote all their energy and resources toward treatment, the Foundation helps alleviate financial and emotional stress by providing grants to assist with rent/mortgage, transportation to treatment, food, and more. Through our Assistance Programs, the grant recipients can focus on their cancer treatment and not the financial distress that comes with it.
