Since my first Falmouth Road Race in 1988 and every year since, I’ve laced up my sneakers every August to run the Falmouth Road Race. What started as a simple summer tradition quickly became a defining part of my life. 

Running has always been more than a sport to me—it’s been a teacher, a motivator, and a means to develop strong level of fitness. 

Through running, I’ve learned the value of sticking with something, even when it’s hard. It’s helped me stay focused, build confidence, and stay healthy—not just physically, but mentally too. Those lessons have carried into every part of my life and played a big role in whatever success I’ve had, both personally and professionally. That’s why the mission of Dave McGillivray’s Finish Strong Foundation means so much. The Foundation encourages kids to be active, discover the joy of reading, and learn the importance of being kind. It’s about helping kids develop self-confidence and giving them a strong start in life.

I know what running & being active has done for me—and now I want to help more kids experience the same kind of growth.
