My Story…
I started running again after more than forty years, and I've been having a great time rediscovering the joys of running. Since I started working at Genesis Club in January, I've participated in four races with other members and staff. Their running club is what motivated me to get back on the road.
Genesis Club is a community support organization that empowers those recovering from mental illness to pursue education, employment, and housing, while building strong, lasting relationships. Membership is voluntary, and all the work done in the Clubhouse is completed side-by-side with members. They are a crucial part of what makes the Clubhouse run.
The feeling I get from working together with members towards a common goal, supporting them in their endeavors, and the camaraderie from the other runners at Genesis has been an uplifting experience. I'm training hard and looking forward to representing Genesis Club in the 2025 Falmouth Road Race! I hope you will help me raise awareness and funds for a truly great cause. Every dollar brings me one closer towards my goal of $850 raised for an outstanding local nonprofit.
Thank you!
